Job Purpose:

The primary objective of the ATM Assistant/Bank Better Champion is to ensure an optimal client experience at the branch. This involves welcoming clients, managing branch flow through effective queue management, and assisting clients with ATM transactions. Additionally, you will help clients navigate remote or self-service channels, ensuring they can complete their transactions efficiently. This role is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for a future in service consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Welcoming and Assistance: Greet clients warmly, understand their needs, and provide guidance on utilizing ATM and self-service channels effectively.
  • Queue Management: Maintain efficient branch flow by managing client queues, reducing wait times, and ensuring a smooth service process.
  • Transaction Assistance: Help clients with various transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries, ensuring they have a seamless banking experience.
  • Service Excellence: Strive to deliver outstanding client service, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly to enhance client satisfaction.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum:

  • No prior experience required, but a Grade 12 National Certificate is essential.

Ideal:

  • Experience in client service within a retail, financial, or banking environment is advantageous.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational: This qualification is a prerequisite for the position, demonstrating your readiness to engage in the banking sector.

Knowledge Requirements:

Minimum:

  • Basic arithmetic skills to assist clients with transactions.
  • Ability to engage effectively with people, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Clear understanding of personal goals, displaying ambition, and a keen interest in learning and development.

Ideal:

  • Familiarity with bank branch operations, enhancing your ability to support clients efficiently.
  • In-depth knowledge of Capitec Bank’s products and internal business processes, enabling you to provide informed assistance.

Skill Set:

  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate information clearly and effectively, ensuring clients understand the services offered.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook to manage client information and support administrative tasks.
