ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: VEHICLES TESTING REF NO: DOT/HRM/2021/24
SALARY : R470 400 per annum (Level 10)

REQUIREMENTS :
Recognised NQF degree 6 / 7 bachelor of Administration in Licencing Practice or
Transportation Management, Examiner of Vehicles diploma or equivalent
Auditing qualification with at least three years applicable experience. A legitimate unendorsed code B or EB using license. Note the following expertise and
attribute are essential: Extensive expertise of the National Road Traffic Act,
Act ninety three of 1996 and its Regulations. Extensive know-how of South African
National Standards (SANS) codes and all applicable law pertaining to
Vehicle Testing. Extensive know-how of the position and responsibilities of the Inspectorate
Vehicles Testing Stations. Computer Literacy. Advanced verbal exchange skills
(written and presentation). Operational, planning and facilitation skills.
Willingness to tour and work irregular hours.
DUTIES : Conduct inspections on the assessment of requirements at new and current vehicle
testing stations as carried out by using the SABS. Conduct inspections on the
evaluation of VTS personnel. Perform workplace administration which includes responding
to queries, writing reviews and submissions, updating of records. Conduct
information periods to stakeholders. Participate in Technical Committees and
working groups.
