UNICEF South Africa: Internships Opportunities 2024 UNICEF South Africa is hiring four (4) interns for a three-month period. The internships will be housed at the National Department of Health, Food Control Directorate in Pretoria. The interns’ tasks and deliverables will include briefing and consultative meetings with the technical managers within the Directorate and other stakeholders that the interns may be required to engage with.
In this role, the interns will work under the supervision of the UNICEF Nutrition Manager. This role presents a unique and significant opportunity for a qualified, motivated, and committed individual. The four interns will be expected to perform the function of Data
Capturers to assist the Department of Health with capturing and collation of comments received on the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations.

UNICEF Responsibilities:
They will be required to:
- Create a database of all the commentators as a numerical index.
- Assess and consider substantive comments on the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations for capturing in the provided Template
- Collate substantive comments in line with the different sections of the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations using the provided Template
- Capture and collate, according to sections of the draft regulations, questions received by commentators onto the provided Template
- Perform other tasks that may be required in relation to R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations.
Requirements:
- A first level Degree or Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Sciences, Public Health, Medicine, Law, International Relations, or any other relevant qualification
- Zero (0) or No more than 2 years as a graduate
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft office packages
- Excellent understanding and command of English at the native level
- Plain English writing and editing skills
- A copy of your South African Identification Card (ID)
- No immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office
